CBA WINS

➜ We have established a great working relationship with the new Superintendent. We got them to acknowledge in writing their violation of Article 13 - Vacancies. They also committed in writing to “exert genuine and bona fide efforts to ensure the dissemination of pertinent information regarding district vacancies among all members of the bargaining unit, thereby fostering heightened awareness and understanding within the employee collective”.

➜ We collaborated with Admin. to sign an MOU that has the district to reimburse new employees for a background check. In addition, employees needing a background check after 9 years will be allowed to take time off from the workday to complete their background checks, will be reimbursed and be allowed to use a school vehicle to and from the background check center.
