Albuquerque – American Federation of Teachers New Mexico President Whitney Holland and candidate for Lieutenant Governor Maggie Toulouse Oliver released the following statements:

Each of them brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to these roles and successfully articulated a vision for their respective offices that resonated with our endorsement committee and the wider leadership of our union.

“From support for strong public schools at all levels, to advocacy for strong democratic safeguards, to standing up for our seniors and children, these candidates offer much to our state. We are eager to partner with each of them to realize our shared goals and move our state forward,” said Holland.
